What are Forex Expert Advisor Test Labs?
It’s always important to test something before using it on a live account. In the Expert Advisor (EA) Test Lab on the Vantage FX website, you can login and view the Demo testing of Free EAs / Forex Robots. This allows you to determine the effectiveness of an EA through detailed monthly performance stats and trade-by-trade description.

How do Expert Advisors work?
Each month we place a minimum of 2 EAs on MetaTrader 4 Demo Accounts. The Demo Account balances start with USD$5000 on the first day of every month. Details of how the EA trades including settings and parameters are listed on EA Test Lab. Each week on a Friday afternoon a performance report (detailed statement which can be downloaded from the MetaTrader 4 terminal) is posted on the site along with the trade statement. An example of the type of detailed statement is included in the box below.

**Martingale Strategy: This strategy is based on the ideal of doubling up on losing positions until the open position becomes positive. Based on probability it works on the premise that if one position is losing, then another position with double the amount should be open. Eventually the position will win however deep pockets are required.
